The enforcement wing of DTCP, during inspection, found violations like bathrooms built in balconies and rear setbacks, and construction in the stilt area. After cancelling the OCs, the department also issued notices to the architects concerned and directed revenue officials not to execute the sale deeds of floors in these properties.
“Of the eight properties which lost OCs in Sushant Lok 2, two each are in C and E blocks, while one each is in F, D, G and A blocks,” said a seniorDTCP official.
“We found many additional construction or alterations by way of cutouts being covered, rooms and toilets constructed in the stilt area, and pending electrical and paint works. These violations are in contravention to the terms and conditions of the OC granted by the department for these residential buildings,” he added.
As per norms, the OC of any building stands automatically cancelled if there is any change in its permitted use or any additional construction is done without approval. On November 18, the department cancelled the OCs of 41 residential properties located in the licenced colonies of Palam Vihar, Uppal Southend, Vipul World, Suncity, DLF-1, Vatika Sector-83 and DLF Alameda for allegedly carrying out unauthorised construction after procuring the documents.
